RESUMEN: Cydalima perspectalis Walker, 1859, a defoliator moth associated to Buxus spp., is recorded for the first time in the Iberian Peninsula. It was detected on several Buxus sempervirens Linnaeus, 1753 hedges in the south of the province of Pontevedra (Galicia, NW Iberian Peninsula).
