PHYTOSANITARY WARNING
19/06/2009
GRAPEVINE Phenological stage: Fruit setting-
Pea size |
Mildew: |
The mist and
night moisture of the last days favoured the appearance of certain oily spots
on untreated plants and also the first symptoms of the disease on some berries.
However, in our monitoring plots we haven't observed new symptoms, except for
Tremoedo where, in spite of having treated plants on Thursday 11th, new spots
are appearing. Thus, plants need to be monitored to check the evolution
of the disease, in spite of being already protected by a previous
application.
|
Oidium: |
We haven't observed
new symptoms, even in plants that were not treated during this year. However,
at this stage grapes are highly sensitive to the disease, thus
plants need to be monitored.
|
Polillas: |
This week the
maximum number of moths captured per trap was seven males (in most plots no
captures were recorded). Now, we have to check berries for glomerulus
appearance, although so far they were almost not present. It is not necessary
to treat.
|
Green mosquito and
other cicadellidae: |
Almost no
insects were captured in the sticky traps placed in the monitoring plots. It is
not necessary to treat.
|
Mites: |
New mobile stages of
the red spider Panonychus ulmi on samples from O Salnés area were
observed. However, since mite density is still very low, it is not necessary to
treat.
|
APPLE
TREE |
Scab: |
We have
not observed new symptoms of the disease. However, since fruits could still be
affected by this pathogen, plants need to be protected provided a specific
surveillance programme is not followed.
|
Cydia
pomonella: |
This
week the threshold of tolerance for captures in our pheromone was exceeded in
every monitoring plot. It is necessary to treat, mainly if plants
the protection period of the previous treatment has
concluded.
|
CHESTNUT TREE |
Pammene
fasciana: |
Males captured
in the pheromone traps were higher than last week's (8 males).
