GRAPEVINE
Mildew:Ver Fotos

Weather forecast predicted warmer conditions for the following days. Due to the rain recorded during the last weeks, plants have developed enough for mildew attack and provided temperatures rise, first spots may appear. Thus, plants should be monitored, and treated in case symptoms appear.


Moths:Ver Fotos

Lobesia botrana and Eupoecilia (Clysia) ambigüella have already been captured (next week their flight curves will be launched on the Internet). From 25 to 30 males have been captured in our monitoring sites, but so far it is not necessary to treat with insecticides.


APPLE TREE
Apple scab:Ver Fotos

Symptoms were not yet observed, but when precipitations cease, first signs of the disease may appear. Thus, those varieties more likely to be subjected to the disease, such as var. Golden should be treated when warmer conditions take place.


Rosy Apple aphid:Ver Fotos

First colonies have been recorded in apple trees growing in the monitoring areas. An early attack of this aphid may cause deformation of leaves, buds and fruits. Therefore, insect populations should be closely monitored.


PEACH TREE

When precipitations stop, it is advised to apply a ziram based fungicide (registered for use by the ministry of Agriculture) to protect trees from the attack of the disease.


EVONYMUS

Ataque intenso de OidioThe fungus was rather disseminated in areas quite protected from the rain. Since the leaves covered with mycelium can become necrotic, it is advised to treat.
