GRAPEVINE
Mildew:Ver Fotos

Mancha de aceite sobre haz de hojaAs it was reported yesterday, we detected the first mildew spots on the variety Albariño. They were detected in our monitoring plot in O Rosal, showing early symptoms with initial sporulation. Weather forecast announces rain for the following days, thus it is advised to treat as soon as possible.

Oidium:Ver Fotos

First signs of the disease are not expected to appear yet, thus so far it is not necessary to treat.

Moths:Ver Fotos

Machos de Lobesia en trampaIn the pheromone traps placed in our monitoring plots we are capturing a large number of Lobesia botrana males (figures range from 30 to 40 insects, reaching 129 in one of the plots). We are also capturing more specimens of Eupoecilia (Clysia) ambigüella than in previous years (up to 30 specimens in one trap). Anyway, as damage caused by these insects was not observed yet, it is not necessary to apply any insecticide in the grapevine.

Mites:Ver Fotos

Machos de Lobesia en trampaDue to weather conditions occurring during this spring, and in particular cold temperatures registered in the last weeks, some young leaves of grapevine seem to be affected by mites. However, samples received in our laboratory sent by individuals or collected from plants growing in our monitoring plots, did not present mites (both red spider and rust mite). Thus, before applying an acaricide, it must be confirmed that this symptoms are caused by these mites.

Machos capturadosThe species has initiated its flight activity in every monitoring area. Since captures have exceeded the tolerance threshold, treatments must be initiated.
